Interested in LED lights?

Here at Sevens and Classics, we have been playing around with various LED lights over the years and now believe we have come up with two very good alternatives to replace the original front light unit.

The unbranded, lower priced option is affordable and budget friendly and we think it does a good job with the overall brightness. The only downside to this light unit is we feel the beam pattern can be a little haphazard.

The more expensive option – and in our opinion, the best LED headlights you can get for a Caterham – are American made JW Speaker lights. They have daytime running lights, dual burn technology (which enables both dip and beam to work together), the beam pattern is excellent and they are also E marked. Without doubt, these are the brightest headlamps available whether they are the 5.3/4” or 7” variants.

To add to our recommendations, we have also done some testing on rear LED light units and feel that JAL (Just Add Lightness) LED rear light units are the best lower price option and can be coupled with the separate fog and reverse light units, also by JAL.

HOWEVER… We do think that the Caterham branded rear light cluster is the bee’s knees! Not only does it look beautiful but it has the fog and reverse light included in the cluster, eradicating the need for separate units – and perhaps a bit of weight loss! Well, who doesn’t want to go faster….?

All of these options can be supplied and fitted by S&C
