The Superlight R400 is undoubtedly one of Caterham most popular models. It has vastly more power and torque than you would ever need as a road going car, whilst it remains calm, smooth and easy to drive for the times when you don’t want to be rushing around. As the name suggests this car produces around 400bhp per tonne from its 2.0L Ford Duratec engine and will launch you from a standing start to 60mph in just 3.8 seconds! Very few road going cars have a power to weight ratio anywhere near this and the ones that do command a vastly higher price tag.
